The Portapique Market opened in June 2022 and has grown into a vibrant, year-round Good Food Market serving residents of the Colchester Shore, as well as visitors to the community. The Market operates Sundays from 11:30 AM to 2:30 PM, May through October, and continues on a biweekly schedule during the off-season, all hosted on the grounds of the Portapique Community Centre.
Thanks to the support of community partners and the dedication of many community-minded volunteers, the Market has quickly become a welcoming social gathering place for local residents.
Visitors can explore a large produce table featuring fresh, locally grown fruits and vegetables, as well as a sharing table offering a variety of items. The Market also includes prepared food options, giving guests the opportunity to sample and enjoy delicious, ready-to-eat offerings.
In addition, the Market showcases a wide range of local vendors and provides family-friendly activities such as arts and crafts, games, and special events,making it a lively and inclusive experience for all ages.
